Read about our Wine Dinner and see the photos on our FB Page

Once again a successful Wine Dinner at Brooklyn Cafe.  Our talented kitchen staff  created a delicious  menu to pair with 6  different wines.   The night began with the  Reception “Adami” Prosecco from Italy.  This wine tantalized the  appetite of what was to follow.  Crab Ravagot, paired with a Chablis, Ginger Pesto Cream Soup with the Bergstrom Pinot Noir.  A glass of  Rosso di Montalicino matched with Grilled Jumbo Shrimp, chilled Soba and Thai sauce.  Next was the Maori Marinated Filet paired delectably with a glass of J.L Chave Cotes du Rhone “Mon Coeur”. Followed by the Braised Lamb and a glass of Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge. Of course the finale, Buttermilk Cake with marinated Pears of Riesling Reduction accompanied well with the  Vin Santo.  It was a fun and memorable night by all.  See all the  Wine Dinner photos on our Brooklyn Cafe Facebook page.

I am on a 30 day tour of 20 cities for work, trying a new $$$ restaurant each night. I’m on night 23 and in Atlanta. I chose Brooklyn Cafe because it was highly rated and close to my hotel. Anyways the point that I’m getting to is that I’ve had some really good food and service in the past few weeks but tonight was easily the best– on both fronts.

Brooklyn Cafe featured in the Sandy Springs Neighbor Paper

Sandy Springs Neighbor Newspaper

December 22, 2010

Restaurants and caterers often step up to the plate when nonprofits ask for holiday donations.

However, some practice year-round philanthropy by donating meals and gift certificates to fundraising galas or, like the Brooklyn Café in Sandy Springs, organizing their own events.

“When Mike [Horosh] and I started dreaming of opening our restaurant, we knew we wanted to be a pillar in the community,” said Jeff Trump, co-owner since 2005. “People have always been very supportive of us and we believe in giving back.”

Come by this week to taste the newest addition to the Brooklyn Cafe menu. While you’re here you may want to try pairing our grilled avocado with Anne Amie Pinot Gris (Oregon). Hans Rueffert Review

You can judge a good deal about a restaurant before you even crack the menu. As we sat down to dine at the Brooklyn Café, we immediately noticed that the mood of the restaurant was vibrant and positive. The diners seemed to know each other and they knew the staff. Locals lined up for tables, casually chatting with friends while they waited. Even though it was our first time there, we felt immediately like a pair of regulars, the staff warm and inviting. The menu reads “contemporary neighborhood cuisine” and those three words echoed exactly the vibe we were getting. Even if the food were merely average, the comfort level of the place would be enough to attract a crowd. Lucky for the crowd, the Brooklyn Café’s food rivals its neighborhood appeal. Read More »

Local Restaurateur Jeff Trump Profiled in Atlanta’s Finest Dining

Atlanta’s Finest Dining
March 2009

“Working for a well known corporate operation does not mean that the dream of a locally-owned neighborhood establishment is beyond the realm of possibility. Brooklyn Cafe partners Jeff Trump and Mike “Shooter” Horosh have fulfilled their dream of thinking big and operating at a local level. Trump spent 16 years at Houston’s restaurant, and Horosh spent 15 years there. They brought the best of their experience at Houston’s – that of consistency, quality, and constant improvement – to fruition at their current venture, Brooklyn Cafe”
